Spring Break

Today is officially my first day of spring break and I can't believe it's already that time of the year again...I know it's such a cliché to say that, but really. Almost done with this semester...thank god. The only bad part about spring break is that all of my friends who go to different schools have their breaks at different times. Some of my friends have already had their spring break while some of my friends haven't. So it's kind of hard to catch up with people that I haven't seen in a long time, but I don't want to just hang around and do nothing this break. The weather is supposed to be real nice tomorrow so maybe I'll take my little munchkin of a dog out for a walk. She's a teeny tiny chihuahua and she always brings a lot of attention when I walk her. I can't go a block without someone stopping me and asking about her. It's okay though because I do the same exact thing when I see someone walking a cute dog. I love animals so I always have to make a big deal when I see a real cute dog or something. Even with cats, but I'm more cautious with them because I know they can be quite the sassy things. But they're so cute, I just want to pick them up and coddle them but I know better.

Anyways...the latest news in Sabreland is that Miller is practicing fully with the team. A lot of fans have mixed emotions on this...some are saying that he should just sit out for the rest of the season because the team has no chance at making the playoffs and he shouldn't risk further injury. I'll say this. If he's ready to play then I am 100% for letting him play. I don't really know about the team right now, but I know that Ryan makes them a better team and if he's been working hard at returning, then he deserves to play. Besides, even if it's too late for this team to make the playoffs at least watching Ryan compete will be enjoyable, you know? I think we all know that he's a smart guy and from his interviews and updates it really seems that he's waiting to get to a point where he's completely ready to go so he doesn't risk re-injuring his ankle. I know injuries/setbacks happen and sometimes you can't really control it...but I am willing to bet that when Ryan returns he'll truly be ready.

He also updated his blog today. My favorite part is when he said, "Don't judge me!" Probably because I find myself saying that a lot because I'm kind of...weird. Or as my best friend eloquently put it, "You're the most fucked up person I know." That sounds pretty mean for a friend to say, but I'd be lying if I said that he doesn't have a point. It was after I shouted the word, "stumps" in his face. You had to be there okay. Or sometimes I find myself saying, "Don't judge me..." when I'm driving with my friends and I back into garbage cans. Just kidding but not really. Anyways, I really liked what Ryan had to say about Ovechkin's "controversial" 50th goal celebration and what Don Cherry had to say about it. He made some good points. I just don't think Don Cherry has a lot of room to criticize someone for being attention seeking with the way he is. How many times has someone in the room said, "Who shot the couch?" in reference to Don Cherry's suit when you're watching Coach's Corner? I get a big kick out of Don Cherry and I respect him...but that doesn't mean that I always have to agree with him. He sort of reminds me of the class clown in high school. Everyone always has a good laugh with them but at the end of the day you have to remember to not take them too seriously. I remember reading on a message board where a Canadian was claiming that Ovechkin degrades the game because hockey has no room for his flamboyancy and "true hockey fans" (aka Canadians) know this. I thought that was funny considering one of Canada's and hockey's most regarded person wears outfits such as this. It was funny how Ryan kept taking shots at Don Cherry's suits, surely a fashionable person such as Ryan (loved his tweed/herringbone baseball cap today, by the way) cannot go without mentioning someone else's fashion disasters.

I also liked when Ryan said, "We are not in a good spot in the standings at the moment but the season is 82 games last I checked..." I don't know about you, but I sensed a little sass in that. Love it. He's right though...but it's still hard for me to try and feel positive about our situation right now. Just gotta keep on keepin' on. I'd definitely get a new boost of confidence and hope if Ryan comes back soon. Seems like him starting against Florida is a no, but who knows maybe it'll be Miller Time on Friday. We've all seen that sometimes Ryan is the difference between a win or a loss... let's just hope his left ankle doesn't give him any more trouble. I don't want to have to write it another letter.

Ryan would death-sass Ole Grapes in a mano-a-mano sass-off. Just sayin. Don't judge me! ;)

Can't wait to see his new mask!

For real. I hope we can get tickets to this sassy event.

I know, part of the reason that I want him to return is because I want to see his new mask haha.

He should show peaks of it on his blog... I have been tapping my foot about it darn it!

Anyway... I have a feeling we will see Miller this week. He seemed pretty hardcore in his writings that it's not over until the fat lady sings and she hasn't sung yet.

Loved that hat... and um well he rocked it. 'Nuff said.

I got side tracked after you mentioned the hat... I was all planned out... dammit Caroline.

Haha I was watching his interview and I was all, "Zanggg I'm loving the hat." and I realized I wasn't paying any attention to what he was saying, so I had to rewatch it.
